yeah, let the ole rare tell ya----- you can't go wrong with oz. almost 40 years now, wwoz has been bringing the listeners, near and far, the best in all genre of music.

as most of you know, i have been with wwoz since about a year or so after it started in 1980. i didn't even know about it, until one of my good friends, that was doing a show there, told me i should go and talk to walter brock about doing a show----- the rest is pretty much history. since then, i have been able, not only to play the oldies for all the listeners to enjoy, but share all the good old memories the music makes you remember as a teenager growing up in new orleans.

i really enjoy all the phone calls i get from the listeners, talking about the artists, music and dances we all used to go to and also the younger listeners that ask all the questions, not only about the artist and music, but what we did as teenagers at the dances, etc. and how we had so much fun. i love passing down this history to the younger generations and hope one day in the future, that they can experience the same fun and good times that we had.

all of this and a ho lot mo, is why i love being at wwoz.

oz brings you live performances from our studios on a regular basis.  music that you can't hear anyplace else in the world---- 24/7 and all commercial free.  we give you the live wire throughout the day and night, letting you know who and where your favorite artists are playing around town. all of this, for a small contribution of your choice to the station, that is tax deductible. this donation allows you to receive, not only thank you gifts, makes you a member and guardian of the groove of wwoz. last but not least, your support to the station, helps keep oz operating and on the air for future generations.

if you like music, then you need to become a member and guardian of the groove at wwoz radio right now. --------- da rare.
