2015 marks the 40th Anniversary of New Orleans’ seminal “fusion” band, Woodenhead. Woodenhead is the incomparable legendary instrumental electric band to come out of New Orleans. Currently and for most of Woodenhead’s 40 years, band membership has consistently included founder and guitar master Jimmy Robinson, pianist & keyboardist Fran Comiskey, bassist Paul Clement and drummer Mark Whitaker. Each member contributes to the band’s deep catalog of original songs and their renowned cohesive sound featuring tight, dexterous musicianship. The original music is the star attraction of the band’s live shows and its many albums. Woodenhead has been and remains a rich, unwaveringly original, multi-faceted presence.
