"Chanteuse: Celebrating Women in New Orleans Music" free concerts

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation is celebrating women's history month with a new concert series, "Chanteuse: Celebrating Women in New Orleans Music," starting Thursday, March 5 with a set from Germaine Bazzle. This series features some of the best and brightest female vocalists active in New Orleans music today. 

Jazz & Heritage concerts are free and open to the public. Doors for each set will be at 7:30pm; concert begins at 8pm unless otherwise noted. Each event is at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center, located at 1225 N. Rampart St.

March 6 The Lilli Lewis Project
March 7 Alexis & the Samurai with special guest Alexandra Scott
March 11, 7pm Sync Up Workshop: Germaine Bazzle in conversation with Gwen Thompkins (Doors at 6:30pm)
Bandleader, performer, and renowned educator Germaine Bazzle, a steward of music in New Orleans, will share insight on her career and the music industry in general.
