The Europeana Collections recently made 2.2 milion images from the first 100 years of photography's existence available for browsing, searching, and download on their website. The collection includes images and documents from 50 European institutions in 34 different countries.

The images range from still life to street scenes from all across the world, including New Orleans and other spots in Louisiana.

The site aims to allow people to "connect with their past, with fellow European citizens, explore remote eras and locations, and better appreciate the value of their continental, national and local cultural heritage."
