The Iguanas will perform at Delgado Music Fest this weekend

1) It's Downtown Super Sunday this weekend and the New Orleans Bayou Steppers are steppin' out with their first second line in two years! Get all the details on both events from WWOZ's Takin' It To The Streets.

2) Delgado Music Fest is happening Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1. Music performances and vending will take place on the Delgado’s City Park campus in New Orleans Mid-City neighborhood (615 City Park Ave). All proceeds will go toward music scholarships and program enhancements at the school. Artists performing will include Preservation Hall All-StarsStanton Moore of Galactic, jazz vocalist Stephanie Jordan, The IguanasNaughty ProfessorHenry Turner, Jr., Delgado Jazz Ensemble, the Latin sounds of Michael Sinkus and more. 3) Freret Street Fest will have Uptown rocking on Saturday, April 1. It runs the length of Freret Street between Valmont and Napoleon. More info, including the most up-to-date performance schedule, available at freretstreetfestival.com.

4) Crabs, music, and good times to be had at Jazz in the Park's Treme Crab Fest this weekend, running today through Sunday at Armstrong Park. 

5) Dolores T. Aaron Academy in New Orleans East is hosting their spring concert on Thursday, April 6 at 6:30p. This is no ordinary school concert-- their lineup includes the school's brass band featuring Kevin Louis of Pres Hall, the DTA Concert Band, and guest artist Tank & the Bangas. The school is located at 10200 Curran Blvd.
