We're happy to announce that WWOZ Piano Night will happen Monday, May 1 at 7p, House of Blues, New Orleans. Subtitled "Back to the Roots," the 29th edition of Piano Night will be a return to the original concept: solo pianists, playing one at a time on the main stage at the HOB. As ever, Piano Night will feature a splendid line-up of players, including Ellis Marsalis, Marcia Ball, Joe Krown, David Torkanowsky, Tom McDermott, Josh Paxton, John Gros, Tom Worrel, and Al "Lil Fats" Jackson.

Jazz Fest starts April 28, just three weeks from Friday— woohoo! The cubes were released last week so you can start planning your days at the Fair Grounds now. We'll see you there and, if you’re not able to make it this year, we’ll be back broadcasting live from various stages everyday of the festival. Once the broadcast details are worked out, we'll post all the info on wwoz.org.
