2nd Annual Listening Room Film Festival

Friday, December 8 and 15, Saturday December 9, 3pm to midnight Sunday December 17, 3pm to 9pm, at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room 2733 North Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Film passes are $5.00 per block or $10.00 per day. Free to the public, Sunday, December 10, 2-9pm, Main Library, 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, 70806 and Saturday, December 16, 2-8pm River Center Library, 250 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA. 70802 The films will be followed by Q and A’s. Industry panels with professionals and executives are part of the presentations, along with musical performances. Award winning and retrospective features and shorts include the local debuts of “Séance Games-Metaxsu,” “Santa’s Letters,” “El Seuno,” “The Tia’s,” A Night of Prayer” and “Good Business Sense.” International debuts are “Do-Over,” from India, shorts are Iran’s “Exchange” and “The Librarian” and “Mirrorty” from Turkey, among others. Regional films to date include “Battlegrounds: The Lost Community of Fazendeville.” Videos include Listening Room Alumna, Louisiana Musicians, International Acts and Dance Party segments. Panels include Songwriting for Film and Television by Barry Coffing, an A.I presentation with Ken Bloxson, How to Produce Music Videos and Trailers, Women’s Issues and Social Changes, among others. Live musical performance include Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor, Kevin White, Princess Teha, Ervin “Maestro” Foster, Deewoocy, Hero Magnus, Krazy D., Chris Smith and Mike Da’ Kidd, Kelton ‘Nspire Harper, among others.
