The premier art museum in the Gulf South and the city's oldest fine arts institution, the New Orleans Museum of Art continues to exhibit, interpret and preserve works of art from ancient to modern times. Its permanent collection is noted for its extraordinary strengths in French and American art, photography, glass, African and Japanese works. NOMA has also developed a unique Arts of the Americas collection, surveying the cultural heritage of North, Central and South America from the pre-Columbian period through the Spanish Colonial era.

Ecos Latinos Presents Mexican musicians, Javier Cabrera-percussion, Miguel Flores-guitar and Messe Merari-vocalist, in concert  with Louisiana musicians: Carlos Valladares-percussion, Alexis Guevara-guitar, Edwin Gonzalez-bass, Fran Comiskey-piano, Betsy Braud-flute, Ben Smith-trombone and Patrice Fisher-harp.

The Mesedades group is a trio of musicians, who are active in the music community of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. They are involved as teachers and performing artists at the University of Veracruz. They have toured throughout Mexico and the world, representing the traditional music of their state of Veracruz, as well as more modern compositions in the jazz and blues idioms.

Patrice Fisher and Arpa is a group of Louisiana musicians and composers, who are dedicated to presenting the original music of its members, in the style of Latin Jazz. They recently completed a tour of Mexico and will soon leave for a 3 city tour of Brazil.
