Upcoming Shows
The Self-Aware Millennial LIVE is a variety show for cycle-breaking artists to express themselves through performance and analyze themselves through introspective discussions.
New Orleans performing artist Jessica Mixon (J.Mix) for the last several years has hosted “The Self-Aware Millennial” podcast, a platform where Mixon and her guests can have conversations about anything from sex, love and interracial dating to the need for more Black-owned and operated arts spaces in New Orleans and millennial perspectives on living through Hurricane Katrina. Mixon is now hosting a series of live shows during the We Will Dream Festival. The next edition is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6th, with guest Martin "Bats" Bradford, an actor, writer, & filmmaker, at the Andre Cailloux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice. This show will also feature live performances by J.Mix, Donyaè Asante, and a special selection from the TSAM Choir (J.Mix, Whitney Mixon, Rebeckah Gordon-Kirk, Tamia Dayanari, Kirkland Green, DeAngelo Renard-Boutté, and Lawrence Weber Jr.).
