Krewe of BOO! 2021 Halfway to Halloween Dance-Off

Saturday, May 8, 2021 -
2:00pm to 6:00pm
Spanish Plaza at The Riverwalk in the New Orleans Arts District
2 Canal St
New Orleans, LA

Featuring more than 200 competitors from 10 of New Orleans’ favorite dance krewes, the free outdoor event will feature celebrity judges, live DJ music, giveaways and some of the best dance moves this side of the Mississippi. “New Orleans boasts some 45 dance and marching groups that participate in Mardi Gras parades, the Krewe of BOO and other local events. The Halfway to Halloween Dance-Off is a great time to see them perform together, and we think it’s a great event to get a taste of the creativity and sense of fun and community that is a part of every troupe,” said Brian Kern, chief spookster for the Krewe of BOO! parade and event founder. Participating dance krewes include Amelia EarHawts, Disco Amigos, Lucha Krewe, Mande Milkshakers, MKFF's Cherchez La Femme, Muff-A-Lottas, NOLA Bombshells, Oui Dats, Rolling Elvi Jailhouse Rockers, and Roux La La. The Halfway to Halloween Dance-Off will host a Halloween costume drive to benefit Ween Dream, a national nonprofit founded in New Orleans with a vision to ensure all children have a costume to wear at Halloween.
