Make Music NOLA's 3rd Annual Adopt-An-Instrument Drive

Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 6:00pm
Currently in its ninth year, Make Music NOLA provides tuition-free music instruction to local students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch. This fall, interest in MMN’s string programs doubled and the organization is currently fund raising to purchase additional string instruments, specifically quarter size violins and cellos. Make Music NOLA now works with over 170 students through group string classes, an increase of over eighty students from the previous year. At MMN’s 3rd Annual Adopt-An-Instrument Drive, former MMN teacher, T-Ray the Violinist (Trenton Thomas), will perform from 6:30-8:30pm with advanced MMN students. The event is all ages, so bring your family and friends! Attendees are encouraged to sign up to make a small monthly donation to Make Music NOLA. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase, prizes include Southwest Airlines plane ticket vouchers, BlueRunner gift packs, and tickets to Studio BE. A portion of proceeds from food and beverage sales will be generously donated by Urban South and Gulf Coast Crawfish in support of the organization’s cause. This year’s Adopt-An-Instrument Drive is sponsored by Williams Architects. For more information or sponsorship opportunities contact laura@makemusicnola.org or 504 266 6091.
