The National Park Service's Jazz National Park provides an ideal setting to share the cultural history of the people and places that helped shape the development and progression of jazz in New Orleans. The visitor center holds a performance area, exhibit space, information desk and bookstore. There are exhibits on display on the history of jazz, as well as special ranger programs and live music performances.

Upcoming Shows
Join the French Market Corporation and the National Park Service for an afternoon of WWII era music, and historical lectures sponsored by the National WWII Museum. The music begins outside our visitor center with the National WWII Museum’s Victory Belles concert in the Dutch Alley Performance Pavillion. At 2:00, join us indoors for a historical lecture sponsored by the National WWII museum which will be immediately followed by a concert of WWII era jazz music by pianist Jim Hession.
