Banks Street Bar
A popular Mid-City hangout, the Banks Street Bar achieved additional fame by initially having acoustic shows in candlelight after Katrina due to lack of electricity. They support a large number of various local acts, from rock to jazz to folk.

Who will be crowned the next Bacon Queen or King of New Orleans? Come find out tonight at the Summer 2014 meeting of B.A.C.O.N.-The Bacon Appreciation Club of NOLA! Bring your bacony concoctions to Major Bacon’s show at Banks St Bar July 9; the winner of the best bacon dish is crowned Bacon Queen or King of New Orleans, and gets a $20 bar tab, a major award, and a photo with the band! Registration is from 9-10:30 pm with judging on the first set break. Must be present to win. We will be serving free VIP BLTs made with all local ingredients, including bacon from Cleaver & Co., bread home made by our bassist, Eloise Davis, and produce from local farms.
