SWARM ENTERPRISES (SWARM) will host the first of
its kind, professional boxing event on Friday, Sept. 6th, from 7:00 p.m. until midnight at The Sugar Mill in New Orleans, Louisiana. The evening’s event will spotlight national fighters, including former two-time IBF Junior Middleweight World Champion, Cornelius “K9” Bundrage
(36-6 with 20 KO’s); who is hoping to take home the United States Boxing Council Title; Curtis “Hard Knocks” Johnson (10-0, with 8 first round KO’s), and Aaron Pryor Jr (31-11-2, with 13 KO’s).
Local favorites Quincy “Chico” LaVallais (7-0-1, 3 KO’s), Delvin “DaGator” McKinley (1-0, 1 KO), and Kelvyn Brown, who is making his Pro-Debut, will proudly represent New Orleans on the line card for the evening.
The event will include lively entertainment and catering from a variety of New Orleans’ favorite food trucks. Perhaps the most unique part this event is that it is produced by SWARM ENTERPRISES, a company owned and operated by three women determined and passionate
to make an impact in the boxing space. “We are doing it differently,” says Mullady Voelker; Co- founder of SWARM. “Our goal is to put on an exceptional event while at the same time
providing an opportunity for the fighters we spotlight to showcase their talents. For us it is about shining the spotlight on these admirable and committed men and women through productions that super-combo glamour and rawness and draw a crowd.”
SWARM’S Mission reads “We provide an unprecedented platform for committed fighters to share the ring with talented opponents and avid spectators, preserving the integrity of the sport while creating memorable events that appeal to a broader audience. SWARM steadfastly supports and promotes women fighters and highlights at least one women’s fight per event”. The namesake event, titled “The Sting Ring” is the first of many SWARM produced events throughout the year.
