Turn-ip the beet this 4th of July at the Crescent City Farmers Market! We're pulling out all the stops for y'all. Baby animals are coming for a kid-friendly petting zoo, the New Orleans Fire Department will be on site doing an apparatus demonstration, Spider Murphy is performing, and there will a tomato taste test, watermelon eating contest, face painting, and fun games like hop-scotch and four square! Eat Fit NOLA will also be on site doing a cooking demonstration with Swerve. The Watermelon Eating Contest will be at 10:00 a.m. with a maximum of 10 particpants. Sign up at the Welcome Tent to participate. It's a speed eating contest, not quantity! The party begins on Tuesday, July 4th at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. at 200 Broadway Street. Oh, and of course our regular vendors will be there to feed your krewe!
