The French Market is open 10am – 5pm daily, featuring vendors and our Farmers Market with eateries and café style seating.

Since 1791, the historic French Market has remained an enduring symbol of pride and progress for the people of New Orleans. In over 200 years of existence, the Market has been built, destroyed, and rebuilt many times over, but what remains unchanged is the Market’s central spirit of commerce, community, and culture that is irresistible to visitors from near and far.

10:30am-5pm | June 6th & 7th, 2026 : 40th Annual Creole Tomato Festival! 

Featuring creole tomato food booths, live music at the French Market and in Dutch Alley, creole tomatoes for sale, free activities for the entire family, free dance lessons, tomato eating contests, and the Miss Creole Tomato Pageant. 

Saturday, June 6th Entertainment Lineup 

10:30am: Ripe & Ready Second Line featuring a live Jazz Band and The Baby Dolls 

*The Second Line will form at Oscar Dunn Park, 700 Decatur Street across from Jackson Square, and walk to the French Market festival location.
