Upcoming Shows
Balbancha Dance Festival is a vibrant 3-day (October 31st-November 2nd) celebration of the African Diaspora through movement, music, and culture. Named after the Indigenous name for New Orleans, “Balbancha” (the place of many tongues), the festival brings together world-renowned master teachers and tradition bearers for an unforgettable weekend of dance.
From Afro-Cuban and Afro-Haitian to West African, Grenadian, Afro-Brazilian, Bounce, and Second Line aesthetics, participants will immerse themselves in the rhythms and roots that shape our shared cultural story.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just starting out, this festival is a space to learn, connect, and celebrate the power of community through dance. Join us October 31–November 2, 2025, and experience the heartbeat of New Orleans like never before.
