Bogue Falaya Park (OUTDOORS) - Covington
Bogue Falaya Wayside Park is the site of many community events and features a large, ADA-compatible playground, a pavilion available for rent, and a boat launch. Picnic tables spread throughout and lots of shade trees make this a great spot for picnics and gatherings, including the Bluesberry Festival, Sparks in the Park, Chef Soirée and other festivals and events.
The Bogue Falaya River threads through the park, which features a boat launch for kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddling on the river. Admission to the park and boat launch are free.

10am-6:30pm | Sixth Annual Bluesberry Festival! Set in Downtown Covington’s riverside Bogue Falaya Park, Bluesberry Festival is a perfect place for music and art aficionados who want to “experience” the arts amidst Southeast Louisiana’s natural landscape.
This full-day celebration of blues music and the arts will include live music performances, art demonstrations; 20+ talented artists from across the region who will be selling their original work; and a free interactive painting.
The Children’s Village also provides kids with free opportunities to exercise their own creative talent.

As for food and drink options, the festival will feature the Food Truck Roundup with local cuisine from mobile eateries like Rue Chow, Creole Tomateaux, Matt’s Chicken Sandwiches, Hogs for a Cause, and more. Each will serve up their signature dishes, but also put a blueberry spin on some old favorites! The festival will also offer a variety of craft cocktails and wines, and a selection of craft brews in the Abita Beer Garden, including Abita’s blueberry beer.
