The French Market is open 10am – 5pm daily, featuring vendors and our Farmers Market with eateries and café style seating.

Since 1791, the historic French Market has remained an enduring symbol of pride and progress for the people of New Orleans. In over 200 years of existence, the Market has been built, destroyed, and rebuilt many times over, but what remains unchanged is the Market’s central spirit of commerce, community, and culture that is irresistible to visitors from near and far.

French Market Creole Tomato Festival! June 7th & 8th, 2025

Featuring live music at the french market and in dutch alley, creole tomato food booths, creole tomatoes for sale, and free activities for the entire family!

10:30am: Kick-off the Creole Tomato Festival with the Ripe & Ready Second Line featuring a Jazz Band, The Baby Dolls, and the Amelia Earhawts!

The Second Line is open for all to participate! Wear your favorite tomato attire and take it to the streets! The Second Line will form at Oscar Dunn Park, 700 Decatur Street across from Jackson Square, and walk to the French Market festival location.
