Essence Fest and "Go 4th On The River," have been canceled this year due to COVID-19, but a few options remain if you're looking for something to do.

Amanda Shaw, Flow Tribe, and Brass-A-Holics will be performing at a drive-in concert and fireworks event at Bucktown Harbor on Saturday, July 4 starting at 3pm. Fireworks start at 9pm. Details here.

Essence Fest has moved to a virtual format for the traditional weekend. PJ Morton and Tank & the Bangas are among those who will be performing virtual concerts for fans to watch from home. Check out the whole virtual event lineup and watch at essencestudios.com.

City Park and Audubon Park remain open and request that visitors maintain physical distancing guidelines (6+ feet) and take their trash with them when they leave. City Park, especially, is struggling to keep up with the demand on their facilities amidst increased usage and decreased revenue.

Wear your mask, stay safe, and remember to tip your musicians!
