This week on Takin' It To The Streets, Action Jackson sits down with the Mossman, Tyrone Casby of the Mohawk Hunters. They discuss what it was like for Casby to be born into the masking Indian tradition, his large family, and Mardi Gras morning on the Westbank. They also dive deep into the purpose of the Mossman, a lesser-known aspect of Indian culture. The Mossman is unique to the Westbank; he is a spiritual Indian that was hung and became a ghost. His spirit lives on to protect the Big Chief and the whole tribe, and to keep the young people around him from going down dark paths. Hear more in the full interview, below:
