Two second line parades honoring and celebrating the late Fats Domino are planned for this week.

On Monday, October 30, a second line will kick off from Bertha's Place (1501 Basin Street) at 8p, led by Judy Hill of Ooh Poo Pah Doo Bar.

Another second line will happen on Wednesday, November 1 starting at 5p. James Andrews will lead the parade from Vaughan's in the Bywater (4228 Dauphine) to Fats Domino's former home in the Lower 9th Ward, located at 1208 Caffin Ave. A gathering and after-party/musical tribute to Fats Domino will happen at Vaughan's later in the evening. Attendees are encouraged to wear blue as a tribute to Fats Domino songs 'Blue Monday,' 'Blueberry Hill,' and 'My Blue Heaven.'
