Everything He Did Was Funky: Lee Dorsey - a radio documentary produced by David Kunian has its rough mix premiere tonight - Wednesday 8/19/09 10 PM CST - on WWOZ 90.7 FM www.wwoz.org. The documentary features Dorsey's many hits and should-have-been hits and commentary from Allen Toussaint, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., Walter Wolfman Washington, Deacon John, Irvin Dorsey, Irma Thomas, Richard Dixon and many others. This is the latest work of David Kunian who has also produced documentaries about James Booker, Earl King, the Dew Drop Inn, Guitar Slim, James Black, Chris Kenner, Jonathan Freilich, Everette Maddox, and Michael Ward. "Everything I do Gohn Be Funky from now on!"

What an awesome show that was! I actually pulled over in my car to Twitter and Facebook it... Unfortunately I had a gig so I missed a lot of it, but hopefully there'll be a re-broadcast?
