Sam Price is a very busy bassist, vocalist, composer, and bandleader. Although he tours and performs with the very active Honey Island Swamp Band and with OTRA!, he also fronts his own combo, Sam Price and the True Believers, as an outlet for his original tunes. The True Believers have now earned an enthusiastic following thanks to their soulful lyrics and sounds that range from slinky to poignant. The prolific artist issued his first EP in 2017, which was immediately named the top roots rock album of the year by Offbeat magazine. The acclaimed 2019 “Dragonfly” is followed up by a new release in 2023 produced by Anders Osborne.
