Rory Danger & The Danger Dangers

Rory Danger & The Danger Dangers are a genre-defying, theatrical punk rockabilly ensemble that immediately captured the New Orleans musical imagination when they debuted at Chazfest in 2010. Led by the multi-talented saxophonist, singer, and clarinetist Rory Danger (who looks a lot like trad jazz maven Aurora Nealand), guitarist and mayhem-creator Pepe Peligroso (doppelganger of Marc Paradis of Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes) and monster drummer D’Ranger Danger (Andre Bohren, fellow Dirty Note), the Danger Dangers offer up rowdy, plot-driven, satirical rock and roll extravaganzas that get crowds up on their feet. They’ve appeared in HBO’s Treme series, and their stellar 2015 Age of Exploration album was nominated for Best Album by Offbeat. Their 2023 Age of Invention is equally successful, with tunes like “Looking for Trouble” and “The Birth of the Edmund Fitzgerald.”
