Nelson Joseph Thompson, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in New Orleans at the age of 63. Mr. Thompson, Sr., a lifelong New Orleanian, was the Flag Boy of the White Eagles Mardi Gras Indian tribe and President of the Money Wasters Social Aid & Pleasure Club.

Members of Money Wasters and all other Social and Pleasure Clubs and Mardi Gras Indian Tribes are invited to attend the home going celebration. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 411 N. Rampart Street on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00am, Father Julio Narvaez, OMI, Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00 am, with family tributes and rosary from 9:00-9:45am. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
