WWOZ Piano Night 2020

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced that the 2020 Jazz Fest has been rescheduled for this coming fall. Accordingly, WWOZ Piano Night 2020 will also be rescheduled. We will announce the new date and details as soon as possible.

WWOZ Piano Night is WWOZ 90.7FM’s flagship fundraiser and has become a festival season tradition among New Orleans music lovers. This unparalleled benefit concert for WWOZ is held on the Monday night between the two weekends of Jazz Fest.

WWOZ Piano Night has two simple goals: (1) honor and celebrate New Orleans piano traditions and (2) raise funds to benefit WWOZ 90.7FM. Piano Night delivers five hours of piano from twelve pianists, playing for you in a range of styles from boogie woogie to trad jazz, modern jazz to R&B, stride to gospel, and so much more in between.

There are several ways to experience Piano Night. Please read below for more info on the event flow throughout the House of Blues, and details for each Piano Night Ticket level.

Piano Night takes place in the Music Hall, The Parish, and The Foundation Room.

Music Hall - Piano Night Main Stage
The main event! Pianists will reign supreme on the stage from 6 - 11:30pm. The Music Hall has two floors, with a main floor and a 2nd floor balcony.

Ebony & Ivory Bistro in The Parish
Adjacent to the Music Hall Balcony, the Bistro offers a dinner buffet with food from an array of fantastic New Orleans restaurants. The buffet will be full from 5:30-7:30pm, with a pared back meal offering after 7:30. The bistro will remain open all evening with a video feed coming from the main stage, offering a place for balcony guests to sit, chat, and enjoy a specialty cocktail from the Parish Bar.

Byrd’s Nest Lounge in The Foundation Room
Patron Party including an intimate Piano Night showcase in the House of Blues Foundation Room. The Byrd's Nest will have an open bar, food, and the opportunity to see your favorite main stage performers on an entirely different scale. This exclusive experience is named after the godfather of New Orleans boogie woogie piano and the beneficiary of the very first Piano Night: Mr. Henry Byrd, better known as Professor Longhair.
