Dear Friends,

As the newest Guardian of the Groove I would like to introduce myself and share with you how thrilled I am to be General Manager of WWOZ! I have long admired the incredible work 'OZ does serving a worldwide audience as a flag-bearer of New Orleans culture and musical heritage. I am in awe of the incredible dedication of our volunteers, staff, board and our talented local musicians.

Sitting in our offices in the French Quarter overlooking the Mississippi River, I continue to be amazed every day. Whether it’s observing our volunteer on-air hosts prepare with such care for their shows or watching a wonderful performance by one of our local bands as it streams live around the globe, I am so proud to be part of this station and community.

In my 35-year career in public broadcasting I have proudly led the initiative to produce award-winning documentaries and national series on our unique culture, customs and history. My family has deep and colorful roots in New Orleans dating back to the 18th century. I love this wonderful city and could never imagine living anywhere else.

Thank you for your support of our beloved WWOZ. I look forward to hearing from you as we look to the future and further extend its incredible impact worldwide. Whether you live across town or across the world, we are all New Orleanians in our hearts. IF YOU CAN’T LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS, LET NEW ORLEANS LIVE IN YOU!

Yours in the Groove,
