Located at the foot of Esplanade Avenue, the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located in the Old U.S. Mint, is a national historic landmark that is part of the Louisiana State Museum system.

The New Orleans Jazz Museum is strategically located at the intersection of the city’s French Quarter and the Frenchmen Street live music corridor. The Museum celebrates the history of jazz, in all its forms, through dynamic interactive exhibits, multigenerational educational programming, research facilities, and engaging musical performances. You can hear great music from some of New Orleans’ best contemporary artists in the state-of-the-art performance venue on the New Orleans Jazz Museum’s third floor. The Museum uses the space for evening programs, solo and small group concerts and special events while the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park offers daily live music programs for local residents and visitors to the Museum. Held in the intimate space of the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Old U.S. Mint, Friends of the Cabildo is proud to host the Tommy McClain & CC Adcock Swamp Pop Songbook on Friday, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Tommy McClain is a beloved Louisiana musician and an inductee into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2007. His career began in the 1950s and has spanned generations, and he remains an important carrier of swamp pop musical traditions. Grammy-nominated CC Adcock is a Louisiana musician who has worked to preserve and promote the swamp pop sound through his band Lil’ Band O’ Gold. Together, they create a unique Louisiana music experience. Tickets are on sale now ($25 GA/$20 Members).
