Local emergency relief organizations New Orleans Burners Without Borders (NOLA BWB) and Evacuteer.org have partnered in a pledge to make 1,000 hurricane emergency kits to distribute to residents of the Tremé neighborhood before hurricane season- and we need YOU to help us reach that goal! Join us in the beautiful, community space of Gloria's Tremé Garden for the Pledge to One Thousand fundraiser kickoff! There will be live music, artistic performances, food, drinks, and outreach booths with information about emergency preparedness and volunteer opportunities. All proceeds will go directly towards the purchase of items to fill these emergency kits, including flashlights, batteries, ponchos, canned goods, and more!
