The Roots of Music is New Orleans’ non-profit organization dedicated to teaching, supporting and empowering New Orleans’ youth through music education, academic support and mentorship, while preserving and promoting New Orleans’ unique musical and cultural heritage. The Roots of Music will celebrate its 5th anniversary with an evening of live musical performances, culinary delights, creative cocktails, an impressive array of auction items and celebrity guest appearances. The much-anticipated event will take place Friday, November 15th at 6:30 p.m. at a private home in the Garden District.Special guest New Orleans Pelicans Head Coach, Monty Williams will get things rolling, along with emcee Mike Hoss of WWLTV. Live performances include The Roots of Music Marching Crusaders and Rebirth Brass Band. A limited number of tickets, priced at $150 per person are available.
