Please join us for a film, poetry & musical tribute to celebrate of the life of the legendary Rev. Goat Carson: Renegade Cherokee healer, civil rights activist, ordained minister, Grammy and NAMMY (Native American Award) winning songwriter, poet, founder of White Buffalo Day and unofficial mayor of Oak Street. Rev. Goat passed away on June 24th in his beloved New Orleans. This event is a tribute to a truly unique artist and spiritualist. The program will include the screening of First Person: Rev. Goat Carson, a half hour filmed oral history. Come listen to the recounting of Goat's incredible life in his own words. After the screening, there will be readings of Goat's poetry and other word artists plus musical tributes by Dave Easley, Deacon John, Luther Gray, Katarina Boudreaux, Jonathan Erik Warren will play an Indian flute tribute and Grayhawk Perkins will perform a loving drum tribute since Goat was a member of the Gray Hawk Band.
