The students from St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School, led by Mr. Lester Singelton, will be joining host Derrick Freeman on the March edition of School Groove, live from the WWOZ studio. March is Women's History month and we are pleased to bring the students from this all-girls school in for School Groove this month.

School Groove is a series of live in-studio performances by middle and high school students from the Greater New Orleans area.

Our show hosts sit down with the band leaders to talk about the band, what it's like to be young musician, and about the music education opportunities in New Orleans. We also make a $1000 donation to the schools that appear.
