He is acclaimed as the father of the American culinary revolution. Author of numerous award-winning cookbooks, Tower, a heralded chef and New York Times best-selling author of Table Manners: How to Behave in the Modern World and Why Bother, launched a journey of self-discovery after mysteriously disappearing and closing his landmark San Francisco restaurant Stars – the birthplace of New American cuisine. Tower was named as a James Beard Foundation Chef of the Year. After the screening, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A, and then meet Chef Tower who’ll sign copies of his new book which will be available for purchase that evening. Doors will open at 6:30PM with welcoming remarks from James Beard award winning Chef/Restaurateur John Besh and Shaya Chef de Cuisine Zachary Engel beginning at 6:45 PM. The film will show at 7PM. Following the Q&A, guests are invited next door to SoFAB for a private meet & greet reception with Chef Tower. Advance tickets are priced at $20 for SoFAB members and $25 for non-members. Culinary student tickets are priced at $15 with a valid student ID.
