Join us Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market for a  celebration of Carlos’s 17 years as Music Director Laureate of the LPO. His tenure helped shape a remarkable chapter in the orchestra’s history, leaving a lasting impact on its musicians and the community.

The night begins with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a Q&A panel with Carlos, moderated by Dr. Stephen Hales. Then, see the premiere of Finale! Carlos Miguel Prieto and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, a new WLAE/PBS documentary that looks back at Carlos’s time with the LPO and the people, music, and moments that made it so meaningful.

Spend an evening hearing Carlos share stories from his years with the LPO and discover the people, music, and moments behind the orchestra’s history in a setting beyond the concert hall.
