André Cailloux Center
The André Cailloux Center is a Black led, BIPOC community serving, multi-tenant, performance art and cultural justice venue. This reclamation of historical cultural space prioritizes telling the stories of people of the global majority through the performing arts and cultural justice programming with deep engagement with the community.

The André Cailloux Center honors Captain André Cailloux, one of the first Black officers to give his life for the Union during the Civil War and an enduring symbol of freedom and courage in New Orleans. The evening opens at 6:00 PM with "We've Got a Story to Tell," a performance bringing his legacy to the stage. At 6:30 PM, the commemoration continues with a free Community Repast night market featuring food, local vendors, and community gathering in the heart of the Bayou Road corridor. The event is recognized with a City proclamation from the office of Council member Eugene J. Green.
ADMISSION: Performance is ticketed. Community Repast is free and open to the public.
