The first Festival Bonfouca will be held this weekend in Slidell. Three days of local food vendors, arts market and water sports (kayak and boat rentals, fishing rodeo), and plenty of local music will fill Heritage Park. Produced by the same folks who put on the Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo, the festival will run from 5-10p on Friday, 11a-10p on Saturday, and 11a-8p on Sunday. Tickets are required to attend.
