The 60th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards were held on Saturday, July 21 and WWOZ walked away with top honors in three categories: 'Best Social Media Campaign' for Takin' It To The Streets, 'Digital Innovation' for A Closer Walk, and 'Lifestyle Blog' for our Show Host Blog.

One of our volunteer photographers, Ryan Hodgson-Rigsbee, was also recognized with a third place finish in the Still Photography/Best Portrait category for his extraordinary shot of the 9th Ward Black Hunter Mardi Gras Indians in the WWOZ Hospitality Tent at Jazz Fest.
