1) Happy French Quarter Fest! There is a ton of fantastic live, local music hitting 24 stages throughout the French Quarter this weekend. WWOZ will be broadcasting from the festival and bringing French Quarter Fest artists into our studio for sneak previews of their sets. Check out our broadcast schedule here and get the whole fest's schedule at frenchquarterfest.org

2) The Pontchatoula Strawberry Festival is happening on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Over 50 booths will be selling strawberries, strawberry-related food, crafts, and more.

3) The Artisan Bar & Cafe is hosting 'Spiritland Remembrance: A Tribute to Coco Robicheaux' on Saturday from 7p-1a. This is a night of art and music honoring the late local blues legend. Scheduled performers include Washboard Chaz, Andy J. Forest, Leslie Blackshear Smith, and more. The event is free but all donations will go to support the effort to get Coco's ashes laid to rest in St. Louis Cemetery #2.

4) The Tulane Concert Band will be performing at Music Under The Oaks in Audubon Park on Sunday, April 15 from 5-6:30p. Contributions at this event go to directly support the annual care and improvements of Audubon Park, including ongoing needs such as lawn care, seasonal flower planting, and the protection of historic live oak trees.

5) Ole & Nu Style Fellas are hitting the streets on Sunday at 1p! Get the route sheet and hear our interview with their spokesman, Askia Bennett, at WWOZ's Takin' It To The Streets
