1) CHOMP. In honor of National Sandwich Day, the longest po boy in New Orleans’ history is coming to the French Quarter on Friday, November 3. The 350-foot long po boy will be cut up and doled out to interested parties with empty stomachs for free at the 500 block of Royal Street between noon and 2p. The Historic New Orleans Collection will also host a free presentation on the history of the po boy at 12:15 and 1p at 533 Royal Street. 

2) It's a busy weekend in the streets of New Orleans. Black Men of Labor will hold their rescheduled second line parade, honoring the life of the late Deborah "Big Red" Cotton, on Saturday, November 4 at 2:30p. We Are One will hold their annual second line parade on Sunday, November 5. And step out with the Second Line for Equal Justice on Saturday, November 4 at noon. 3) The Algiers Folk Art Zone & Blues Museum will host the sixth annual Algiers Folk Art Festival on Saturday, November 4 from 11a-7p. The festival will showcase regional folk art and music from Brian Murray Traditional Jazz Band, Marcel Anton, Paul Sanchez, Benny Grunch and the Bunch, and the Confetti Park Players.

4) The 11th annual Central City Festival is happening along Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Performers include Casa Samba Kids Brazilian Samba parade (kids on stilts), Michael Jackson of NOLA, a second line with TBC Brass Band, Nkrumah Better Boys social aid and pleasure club, and the New Orleans Creole Belle Baby Dolls. There's also cooking demonstrations, kids activities, a fashion show, art, and specials from local businesses and restaurants in the corridor.
