Congratulations to all my friends at The French Quarter Fest on this special 30th anniversary celebration!  This year the largest free music festival in the South features 271 performers on 21 stages, as well as, par normal, the world’s largest jazz brunch in Jackson Square.

There are literally hundreds of acts that you will enjoy out here, some very popular, some not so.  Here are a few less obvious Hot Picks that, just maybe, you have not yet discovered:

SUNDAY –

For some changes of pace, there is classical music both days St. Mary’s, 1116 Chartres, from 11 to 4:30.  Also remember to check out the entertaining programming on the 3rd floor of the Old U. S. Mint.  As always, see you in the Quarter, and Go Here Some Live Local Music!
