Youngblood Got Heart: Alvin Youngblood Hart's Back in Town and Coming to the Blues Breakdown

Published on: January 27th, 2011
I had written a long entry all about AYH and the show at the Maple Leaf uptown when he joined Jimbo Mathus & The Tri-State Coalition in the second set and they rocked the doors off the place 'til it sounded like a Mississippi Jukejoint, or a Country Church..but the site crashed and I lost it. So, I will just say this : tune in to The Blues Breakdown, tomorrow, Friday, Jan 28 t(around 3 PM, so just listen to the whole show, 2-4!) to hear to hear him live in the studio, with me The Problem Child! He will play tomorrow night, Friday Jan 28, at the Maple Leaf, uptown near the river on Oak Street. Also see his site for more tour dates and other info. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=0h&oq=a&ie=UTF-8&rlz=... "The summer of 2007 saw Alvin hit the big screen as a juke joint musician in the Denzel Washington directed film, The Great Debators Hart, is named by friend Luther Dickinson as "an original North Mississippi Allstar" and the two have recently joined forces with ol' pal Jimbo Mathus to form The South Memphis String Band. The 3 of them have recorded and toured supporting their acoustic album Home Sweet Homeand have been recently been in the studio working as their electric alter-ego, Loose Shoes. Hart continues to tour the globe as a solo artist and with his Mighty Muscle Theory band...." From his My Space page.
