In our continuing chronological look at the music of New Orleans and Louisiana, Tom Morgan and his Tuesday New Orleans Music Show presents the music of 1952. From Louis Armstrong's recordings in Scandanavia, Sidney Bechet's in Paris and Louis Prima's in New York to Sharkey Bonano's recordings in New Orleans, you'll get to experience traditional jazz sounds from 1952. Then we'll move onto the 1952 RnB recordings of Smiley Lewis, Archibald, Paul Gayten, Fats Domino, Percy Mayfield and many more. Join us this Tuesday March 30th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. cdt, for 1952, only on WWOZ (wwoz.org).
