Happy to announce our new regular show hosts!

Starting Thursday, June 1, George Ingmire will take over the Thursday Blues and R&B slot from 7-10p each week with a new show called 9-Volt Heart. George is one of our most experienced show hosts and producers, and has been involved with WWOZ in various capacities for many years. Most recently, he hosted and produced New Orleans Calling and the Wednesday edition of New Orleans Music Show. George has been working as a media producer since 1999. He holds a B.A. in anthropology and a M.F.A. in film production (with an emphasis on documentary) from the University of New Orleans.

Dave Dauterive will take over the Friday Morning Set Jazz slot 6-9a beginning Friday, June 2. Dave has been volunteering with WWOZ since 2001 as a substitute host, phone volunteer, on-air pitching during fund drive, Jazz Fest broadcaster, and more. He grew up in the New Orleans area and has over two decades of radio experience. Dave hosted the Thursday night Blues and R&B show on WWOZ in 2006, hosted numerous shows on 91.1 KLSU Baton Rouge in the 1990s, and morning drive/Saturday shows at 90.1 KPFT in Houston from 2007-2013.

Listen to recent editions of either show on the WWOZ 2-week archive starting this weekend.
