Get ready for the third night of Don Cherry! Jazz Lunatique 4/1/09 at midnight will feature an hour of Cherry's recordings with Ornette Coleman and others. It will be the third week in a row we'll blow your mind with Cherry's trumpet playing accompanied by his cohorts Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden, and unsung New Orleans drummer Ed Blackwell, among many others. That won't start until 1 AM because first we'll put on radio special "Miles Davis Kind of Blue" produced by Joyride Media - Paul Chuffro and our Man In Harlem, former OZ DJ and Operations Manager Joshua Jackson. This year is the 50th anniversary of the recording of Kind of Blue, and this will get you ready for the upcoming show celebrating the 50th anniversary of 1959, the best year ever of recorded jazz music. More fun for all and don't forget the Aliens are listening.
