Jazz Fest 1977

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is rapidly approaching its 50th year. In honor of this year's cubes being released yesterday, take a look back at the cubes (the longtime format release for the day-by-day schedule) from every year of the festival going all the way back to its infancy in 1970.

"Swag's JazzFest Cubes Rescue Program" showcases archives the schedules for those interested in the history of the "world's greatest music festival," or for anyone who just wants to relive the glory of Festivals Past.

We live in a great era for music but some of these years are flat-out drool-worthy. For example, the first five names on the final day of 1977's fest-- Frogman Henry, Lightnin' Hopkins, Barbara Lynn, Clifton Chenier, and Fats Domino! What a succession.

Lots more to peruse and dream over (or, for the fortunate, reminisce on!): http://swagland.com/jazzfest/cubes/index.html
