Ashton Hines is an accomplished trumpeter and bandleader with roots firmly planted in the Frenchmen Street scene. From street musicians to clubs like The Maison, Hines, along with his band The Big Easy Brawlers, incorporates elements of hip hop, funk, and soul with New Orleans classic tunes to create an energetic, fresh sound. The New Orleans native cut his chops as a member of the prestigious McDonogh 35 Marching Band, and soon became a leader in the then-nascent Frenchmen Street musical renaissance.
