The New Orleans Musicians' Clinic (NOMC), which has been working in conjunction with the LSU Healthcare Network to provide free and low-cost occupation-specific medical care to our city's beloved musicians since 1998, needs your help to save it from financial obliteration.

The federal grant for the NOMC ends on September 2010, cutting the Clinic's funding by 90%. According to NOMC President/Director Bethany Bultman, "We have always known that the federal grant would end in Sept 2010, but what we didn't know was that there would be no other resources to renew the funding."

You can help by spreading the word about this blow to our city's cultural infrastructure, as well as by attending benefit events and donating directly to the NOMC. To contribute and find out more, please visit SaveTheClinic.org.

Get You A Healin': Special Anniversary Re-Release

You can also help the clinic by purchasing the special anniversary re-release of "Get You A Healin'" CD featuringĀ Dr John, the Funky Meters, BB King, Irma Thomas, Allen Toussaint, Guardians of the Flame, Blu Lu Barker & more! It's available at iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com and a variety of online music stores, and proceeds from the sales go directly to the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic.
