We bring you the sounds of Cyril Neville and Tribe 13 captured live at the 2009 Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival in New Orleans' Lafayette Square. Along the way, we introduce you to artist and poet Jose Torres Tama as he discusses his work in the book “New Orleans: Free People of Color and Their Legacy.” Then we meet up with Melba Ferdinand, co-owner of Café Rose Nicaud, a coffee shop named after a woman who bought her freedom from slavery by selling coffee on Sundays.
