WWOZ + iPhoneUPDATE: WWOZ iPhone App

The WWOZ App is now compatible with Apple's iOS 4. The crashing problem has been fixed; the App is once again available for free in the App Store. If you have an iPhone and haven't donwloaded the 'OZ App yet, go get it! If you already have the app, get the update and check out the improvements we made.

Flash Stream Player

Our Flash-based stream player makes it even easier to listen to WWOZ online. Just click on the LISTEN ONLINE link in the upper left of our site, and a separate window will pop up with a Play/Pause button and other info like who's on the air. The stream loads right in your browser, so you don't have to use dedicated software like iTunes or Winamp. 

WWOZ Facebook App

FacebookThanks to the generous contributions of our new and renewing members, WWOZ now has its own Facebook App! The app is an online widget that lets you listen to WWOZ right from a Facebook profile page, and it's totally free!

Listen to WWOZ via Facebook

Simply go to the WWOZ Facebook App page and click on the Play button. Make sure your volume and speakers are turned up!

Add the app to your profile
Log in to your Facebook account, go to the WWOZ Facebook App page, and click on the Add to Profile button.

Tell your friends

You can share the 'OZ Facebook App with your friends by clicking on the Invite Friends tab on the WWOZ Facebook App page.

Need an audio player? You can listen to our streams using the audio players below. All are cost-free, except where noted.

Please note that we have not tested all applications on all platforms and cannot offer technical support for the applications below. We will do our best to help troubleshoot WWOZ stream issues.

iPhone and iPod Touch

  • WWOZ iPhone App 
    [Free] Listen over Wi-Fi or 3G connections and get special updates on contests, events, and the station. Compatible with iOS 4 and earlier. 
  • Mobile Safari [built-in] iPhone OS 3.0 supports streaming right in Safari. You can navigate to the site, click either of the MP3 links and listen right inside the browser. Best of all, you can open other apps while streaming!
  • Public Radio Player 2.0 [free] Supports our 24k stream
  • Nullriver Tuner [approx $6] After purchase you can manually enter either our 24k or 128k stream URL
  • StreamItAll Radio [approx $4] After purchase you can manually enter either our 24k or 128k stream URL

Windows Mobile

Please note WWOZ does not currently offer an RTSP stream. Therefore, in order to stream WWOZ you may need a 3rd-party application that supports either MP3 or Windows Mobile streams.
